INTERESTED IN PLANNED GIFTS

ALUMNI BRICKS

We invite our alumni to participate in our Alumni Garden by purchasing a custom-inscribed brick.
Each brick symbolizes the foundation and the path taken by our Brentwood Academy graduates.
Every brick purchased is inscribed with the alum’s name and graduation year. 
Alumni bricks are a wonderful way to honor a BA graduate and support the Brentwood Academy Endowment Fund.

MEMORIAL GIFTS

Honor the memory of a friend or loved one and continue his or her legacy
when you make a Memorial Gift to Brentwood Academy. BA will notify
the family of the tribute and include it in the Annual Impact Report.

ENDOWMENT FUNDS

Gifts to Brentwood Academy Endowed Funds provide income to BA in perpetuity.

CINDY TRIPP MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT

Honoring the late Dean of Faculty, Cindy Tripp, aiming to “aid in the flourishing of others,”
the Cindy Tripp Memorial Endowment will continue her legacy of encouraging growth
in faculty by funding professional development.  

CLYDE E. SWIFT ENDOWED AWARD FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

Encouraging outstanding teaching and named for former BA trustee Clyde E. Swift,
this award provides a generous cash gift given at graduation to the teacher nominated
by colleagues for commitment to the profession.  

 BARBARA STEWART ENDOWED CHAIR

Ensuring retention and recruitment of the most qualified faculty,
this endowment honors Barbara Stewart who faithfully served Brentwood
Academy as history teacher from 1972 until her retirement in 2022.  

THE MARSHALL C. SMITH ENDOWMENT FUND

Providing students with financial assistance in order to attend Brentwood Academy,
this fund honors Coach Marshall Smith ’92 and his commitment to BA.  

CHRIS DOWDLE MEMORIAL FUND

Supporting need-based financial assistance for children of alumni,
this fund is given in memory of Chris Dowdle ’97.   

CRAWFORD SMITH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWED AWARD

Honoring an outstanding senior each year for demonstrating an attitude of overcoming obstacles to achieve
goals while serving as a role model to younger students, the fund provides the recipient with a $1,000 scholarship. 

DUNCAN LIBRARY FUND

This fund continues the legacy of Duncan School through
Brentwood Academy with ongoing upgrades to the library.
