One-hundred sixteen members of the Class of 2015 were honored in Brentwood Academy's 43rd commencement exercises held May 25 at Brentwood Baptist Church. The graduating seniors will matriculate to 50 different colleges and universities in the fall.
Led by Headmaster Curt Masters, the graduation ceremonies featured a host of special awards and recognitions, including the awarding of diplomas to each graduate by Board of Trustees Chair John Roberson.
Two seniors, Sarah Pleasant and Matt Binkley, were chosen by their classmates to offer commencement addresses. Two faculty members, Dr. Rene Rochester and Coach Brad Perry '92, were chosen by the class to speak at Sunday's Baccalaureate service.
Three alumni, who have served on the Board of Trustees and who will be reitiring this year, were recognized by Founding Headmaster and Headmaster Emeritus Bill Brown. Mike Helton '88, Rachel Williams Burgin '80, and J. Mac Brown '83 have served on the board for the past several years and were recognized for their dedication to Brentwood Academy.
In keeping with tradition, several awards were presented to graduating seniors to recognize special accomplishments and academic excellence:

Andy Anderson Spiritual Life Award: Allyson Collins
Carlton Flatt Male Athlete Award: Jacob Cretin
Carlton Flatt Female Athlete Award: Camille Caldwell
Each year, the Clyde Swift Faculty Award is presented to a teaching faculty member who demonstrates leadership and excellence in the classroom and who inspires students to reach their full potential. Mrs. Wendy Stallings, a physics teacher, was chosen by her peers for ths year's award.
