2012-2013 Service Project—American Cancer Society

Each summer before school begins, the senior class goes on a retreat and chooses the theme verse and service project for the upcoming year. The chosen service project is presented to the entire school at the back-to-school picnic and all fundraising efforts for the upcoming year go toward the organization. Throughout the school year, students and faculty participate in activities and events to help foster awareness and raise funds. At the end of each year, the seniors present a check to the organization on behalf of Brentwood Academy.

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.
