In November, we will celebrate ThanksLiving throughout the month in our special chapel series. Faculty will share their testimonies about living a life of gratitude every day of the year. On November 11, we will celebrate Veteran's Day with a special assembly and then on November 25, the larger BA community will gather for the annual Thanksgiving Service.
The BA student body will host a Walk-a-Thon for Autism Speaks on Saturday, November 15, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Carlton Flatt Field and Harper Webb Track. Entrance fee to walk is $10 per person (teams of 10 are encouraged). All funds raised will go to Autism Speaks, the 2014-15 BA School Service Project.
Girls varsity soccer advances to state after win over St. Agnes.
Senior Andrea Lopez, who plans to study pre-med in college, was named the Brentwood Home Page Student of the Week. Andrea, who has a passion for volunteering and serving, is also a member of the National Honor Society and member of the soccer team.

Senior Landon Fuller was named the Brentwood Home Page Student of the Week. Brandon is involved in FCA, the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, multiple service projects and Eagles' basketball.
The 6th grade football team finished the season undefeated following their final victory over Ensworth on October 4. The team is coached by Lyle Husband '93.
Brentwood Academy freshman guard Darius Garland is the only player from the state of Tennessee and one of just 53 high school players nationwide invited to attend the 6th annual USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team mini-camp on October 4-5 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The 7th grade team defeated MBA 27-7 on Tuesday and the 8th grade team defeated MBA 28-0 to finish out the perfect season.

Our BA MS varsity team earned the HVAC championship title again this year by beating Harpeth Hall in the championship game on Friday night at the HVAC Tournament (held at Harpeth Hall). Final championship score was 24-26, 25-16, 15-13.
The cast for the middle school's production of Anchors Aweigh has been posted. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who auditioned. The play will hit the BA stage January 29, 31 and February 1.

Fifteen speech and debate students from BA competed in the Wake Forest University tournament last weekend and brought home the team sweepstakes title!
Five BA teams, made up of 22 students from 7th-12th grade, competed Saturday at the Middle Tennessee Vex Robotics Fall Kickoff at the Adventure Science Center. A combination middle school and senior team won the tournament.
